Seven Days Left on the Halloween Countdown!

We're down to the last week, lunies. I'm wrapping up the week with Silent Hill costumes (yesteday was Henry Townsend, the day before, Harry; today was Heather, and perhaps tomorrow I shall be Mary Sunderland; Friday mayhaps Alex), given their flexibility in being "normal" clothes. My mind has been frazzled by the rendering project, and with preparations for my 9th annual Halloween party underway, its hard to find time to post about the season of pumpkins and yurei. Tonight, to unwind, I popped in Fatal Frame 2: Director's Cut on the X-Box. My god, but the x-box has an unweildy controller. Add that to my experience with FPS mode (which is so much simpler in combat that it is in exploration, I've found), and we've got a night of shots, scares, and "SHIT!"'s.

Back to the countdown. What shall we talk about tonight, kiddies? I tried uploading a FF AMV to no avail, drawing produced nothing, and things are eerily quiet in my current work "Creepy and Crawley". Many people lately have been struggling over the lack of holiday spirit, given the warmer weather lately. Its been hot here in the Golden State, and I hear its hot back east too. What with midterms and all, its no surpise that even my hardcore buds at Silent Hill Talk are a bit absent. My OCtobers haven't been the best in the past few years, but strangely, I feel invigorated. Excited. Giddy, like I used to be in middle school. I remember costumes, candy, cookies, and Halloween decorations as far as the eye could see. I dunno why, but I feel young again. Perhaps it is the coming NiGHTS game that makes me happy (whenever it comes out). I hope you guys also find some way of feeling young again too before Thanksgiving rolls around.

I dunno if I'd reviewed the book The House of Leaves, but I heartily recommend it for this time of year. Its a book that not only fucks with you like a good hour of Eternal Darkness, but gives you pause. There's a thin line between reality and fiction in the book, and sometimes, you can't tell which is which after awhile. Anyone looking for an adventure should definently pick it up.

I'vve also come to notice a lot of books (ok 3-4) concerning surviving or hunting the supernatural. I'd recently paged through the Zombie Survival Handbook, and found so much of it interesting that I'm considering picking it up for my sister (whom, like myself, are deathly terrified of zombies). Also on the reading list is the Monster Hunter's Handbook which not only details certain monsters than can be hunted as game (heaven forbid) or for sport, but has suggestions on how to find many mythical weapons such as the Spear of Destiny, Sun Wukong's staff, and Mjollnir. Most of it is told completly straight-faced, as if it were a handbook on game hunting, as is another book called Monster Spotter's Guide to North America which details monsters and mythical beasts as if they were birds to be spotted. Its a bit tongue-in-cheek too, but you kinda have to look for it. If you're one of the types who give out Halloween gifts, you might wanna try one of these.

Tomorrow, If I'm lucky, I'll do a blow out review of my new favvorite book How to Survive a Horror Movie, in which I'll help tell you how to know you're in a horror movie, how to deal with different slasher villians, offer tips on killer dolls, and eventually how to defeat the devil. ^^ Can't wait.

Well, I'm off to SleepyLand; sorry for the small ramble, but its hard coming up with things I care about and have the time to review/explain/ramble about. I'll make it up to you guys on Halloween, i swear. ~.^ See you next time, Lunies!

*Shout out to Sadako, Samara, Toshio, Linh's daughter and that kid in Phone! Let's party down, Lunies!*

Bleeeeeech.....-_-

Kozumi's Quote of the Week:
"I love deadlines. I love the wooshing soundthey make as they fly by."
--Douglas Adams

Back again, after a small hiatus....XD What's new in Dez-Land?

Skool. Skool iZ bad. I have early morning classes, and on 2 days of the week, I go as late as 6:30 to 9 PM. -_-

And I'm sick.....XP I caught some sorta horrible virus that's completely incapacitated me all WEEK. Did I mention its midterm week? Meh he, at least I can post via laptop from bed....

Ok, enuff about me. How's the rest of the crew down here in Lunacyland?

Dio: We're sick. Most of us.
Aro: 'Cept for the ones who are undead. Or robotic....
*Clio smiles and carries in a 20 gallon vat of codine cough syrup as if it were a stack of pillows*
Raziel: That's just scary.

Here, its time to make your head implode.
WTF, mate?
Hooray for Romanian Gay anthems.

So the codine's kicking in, and I'd better hit the sack. Have fun Lunies....XD

*Until Next Time Lunies....*

Kozumi's Quote of the Week:
"Its deja vu all again."
--Some dumb newscaster on the 11:00 news last night.

Pardon Our Lack of Being Here....

For my somewhat loyal readers, I must tell you that this next week, RanLune will be on hiatus as I'm leaving for Get SET Summer Week as councelor. As far as I know, there won't be anyone taking the reins, so until then, I'll redirect you all to some blogs worth of note.

And no, being surrounded by high school girls is not going to be much fun. Even a bi chick w/ a Lolicon can dislike spending a week w/ drama filled teenaged girls.... NO DRAMA! So any way, ya'll have some fun and don't behave to well, ne?

Belle de Jour Belle's Blog, for all your guys who like London Call Girls. ^^
X-Entertainment Not a blog but still something worth reading.

If I can get the audio thing working maybe I'll try an entry, but that's only if it works. So take care, Lunies, see ya on Friday the 13th! Ooooohhh Spooky!

*Til next time, Lunies!

Summer=Sleeping in

Clio's Word of the Week:
Antithesis (n): 1. the complete or exact opposite of something; 2. a use of words or phrases that contrasts w/ each other to create a balanced effect; 3. a proposition that is the opposite of another already proposed.

What's on Dez's Desktop: Hot girls and hookahs; Nosgoth overworld map (BO1); Wet Panto; Muraki and Tsuzuki looking rather slashy ^^; 2 hot armored chicks; ad for Troubled Windows (hmm seems almost sacriligious on my comp XD).

Syndelin's Music list: Camino (IC Brain), Nami Tamaki (Greeting), Two-Mix (various), Barenaked Ladies (various); Byakko the iPod just running random ^^.

Blogging to watse time as Gaia is currently too busy right now so bear w/ the mediocre news.

Just got word of Penny Arcade's convention in August, PAX. Anyone going? Its a gamer's con so I suspect only hardcore gamers are going. Sounds fun...but I think SJSU starts school around then.....^^;;;

Beyond the Camera's Lens is back up for those who have been missing this Fatal Frame info site. There was much "sqeee-ing" when the page loaded. ^^;; I am a gamer obsessed.

Dez wants to make her own website. T_T If anyone could swing by and give me advice when I finally get webspace (which is....whenever), it would make Random Lunacy a very happy widget. Dez wants a webcomic.

I'll prolly be away after this since Tamago wants me to spend some quality time w/ him....XD I'm spending the night at the Egg's house so I'll be gone tonight into tomorrow and hopefully be back in time for PHHS grad. So, I'll catch ya all later!

Courtesy Call

Just to drop a line: 1) No, we haven't died. Either there hasn't been time to get to a computer for a full-length of RanLune ranting, or the comp has been tied up for other reasons. Like homework. 2) Yes, its cuz we don't love you. Ok I lied. XD 3) Please excuse the lack of anything to write. Its not that we don't have anything, its just a lack of either time or motivation. 4) And seriously, who really reads here any more? Who has the time? 5) No, I haven't been watching anime, but I will finish a certain series in time for Anime Overload. 6) Yes, I am going to Anime Overload. 7) Yes, I'm going in costume, and yes, its you-know-you, and no, its not Voldemort. 8) All rumors of a fanservicey Aina Hildreth are completely true. No, I will not post them, as the scanner is broken. 9) All rumors that I'm eloping in SF whilst the Family Unit is away for Spring Training in about 2 weeks or so are completely false. 10) Yes, I am ready to beat Fatal Frame 2 on hard, and expect to either tonight or this weekend. 11) No, I am not as l33t as the gamer who beat it on Nightmare Mode w/o taking damage in an hour and a half. I am however 31336, since I am attempting to beat it with only 90 speed film. XD Ok, I lied again. 12) An Adult Loki is one of the sexiest things I've ever had the pleasure of laying my eyes on. Thank you Kinoshita-sensei. 13) That is all, thank you, and goodnight Valhalla.

*Possibly until next time, Lunies!*

Pum..... What to write....

Hey! Good news here is that lil ol me got contacts! Yes yes, the host of RanLune finally got the guts to try the things out. And you know what? They're fisking awsome. I don't have much of a problem putting them in and taking them out but I do realize that this is a major step for me. Since I'm on a week trial, I'm considering my decision to get contacts for every now and then occasions (like for days when I go on rollar coasters). I'll still have my glasses, but I'll be using contacts too. For people who have seen me sans glasses, tell me what you'd prefer.... If all goes well with my parents, I may get colored contacts, possibly in purple.

Dio: This is just one more step into anime cosplay assimilation.....

Damn right. The concept scares most of the cast....dunno why.....

Well, for all you guys who wonder what goes into a RanLune post, here's a lil insider info. Usually a blog post will start off with the usual month-to-month, or week-to-week business chores, letting my usual gang of idiots run with a rant or two, then be followed by a report, a personal rant, or some lil news flash about what's been going on lately. Usually such info comes from 2 sources: 1) a recent even, or 2) something I read in someone else's blog.
Before I do an actual post, I usually cruise about and visit some of your guys' blogs. Not all you readers, just by closer friends. If, say, Eve posted something that day about Harry Potter or Pirates of the Carribbean, I'd read and perhaps post a small blurb on said rant or opinion (if I haven't left and adequate comment in the comment box). Or, if Ryori-san had posted some infor regarding an anime, or TenTen had left a comment about a get-together, I'd give my lil report on it.
Other people's blogs are my newspaper, in a nutshell. If I missed something regarding someone's feelings on a fanfic, or someone's favorite muusic, I'd hop over to one of those blogs for some insider info. Since I no longer attend school with some of you, I feel that the blogs are my network in keeping me abreast with current events.
That said, I'm wondering if people do the same with this space.... I admit most of the smack that goes on here really is nothing more that what the title is--random lunacy, but I do try to put things on here that may be of interest to my readership. Basically I don't have a large circle of friends that I hang out with, prolly just Denali and TenTen, and his lil bro. So, if ya'll see something that did interest you (be it a monthly story or perhaps a topic of debate), please don't hesitate to tell me what I do right and what I do wrong. I may just read and disregard, but I *do* read, and, most of the time, consider.

Thanks to both Tsubasa (AKA Ryori) and Moogle-man (AKA Light, new nicky!) for their submissions for the homework assignment. As of now, there is no pass or fail grades....'cept you CloudZero, cuz I have the power to say so. Nyah nyah, Gackt style =P (U+K, Mars album) XD Anyway, prizes are awarded to Ryo and Light for 1) the fastest response and 2) the most unique submission.

Dio: There were only 2 entries, though.....

Exactly! Now! To the winners, congradulaton--a winner you are. To everyone else, thanks for a comment! Sate! What will the next assignment be...?

BishonenCatboi
You're a Bishonen Catboy!!! You're so pretty...you
put catgirls to shame. *_* You tend to be
sorta quiet and timid, but with people staring
at you all the time, you have reason to be.
