So. Its now Cotober. Which means many things. Light tables and animation. Good horror flicks. Halloween party. Yaoi-con. Manga. And costumes. Costumes costumes costumes.

YEs. And candy. Did anyone know that the old Disney Halloween cartoon Skeleton Dance was animated by Ub Iwerks? Man, the man was a freaking genius. If any of you really don't know who Iwerks is, I suggest at the very least Googling him and reading up cuz he's fucking sassy awsome.

Yes. Sexy. In other news, I got my hands on ADV's translation of MaLoRa. And I'm disappointed. Not ultra disappointed, but really disappointed. It could have been a lot better. And the fact that they released RAGNAROK before both the anime and the original series really annoys me cuz it just jumps right into the story. And its REIYA not REYA. That "I" is emphasized. And its ECCHAN not ETCHAN, but I'll let that one slide. But to have Reiya not speak in 3rd person?? No honorifics? "Dad" and not "Daddy"??? Ok, I'm really annoyed. But I guess that's what happens when you have contract workers.... *sigh* I know I was building up for disappointment but I guess I was still a little too optimistic. Fair translation, but it could have been a LOT better. One HEL of a lot better. And speaking of which, we won't be seeing her for quite awhile either.

*breathe* Ok, after that little rant, now I'm gonna leave some teasers for upcoming posts. XP Wah-ha.

We're gonna have 2, count 'im, TWO movie reviews this October: Shaun of the Dead and Ju-On, a special book review, RanLune's first Halloween Party (complete with Michael Jackson's Ghosts, an iPod on random and of course glow in the dark baseball) and some other cool stuffin's. Ok, I'll level w/ y'all. Viz picked it up....should be out within the next month or so and let me tell you....after reading the sampler, I'd have to say I'm pretty disappointed w/ Viz. In some places, the translation is pretty good...but overall, and maybe I'm biased about this, but I prefer Theria's work better. *shrugs* I suppose that's all fine and dandy...but had Matsushita-sensei released any more tankoubons? Or is the series going to stop at vol. 8, where the anime ends? These questions haven't been answered yet (unless Viz has it on the website, I donno) so I'm a bit upset and anxious.

Yes, I am going to pick it up. It may be bad, but at least its in English.....*weep* I'm such a hypocrite......

You're looking at the proud owner of the completed set of Star Ocean: Second Story. My lovely sister had just picked up the last volume I'd needed (vol 5, sporting the ultra-cute, Lolicon-inducing Precis P Neuman). ^^ That just leaves Detective Conan's 43 volumes, CardCaptor Sakura's 9, Cyber Idol Mink's 6, and Lord knows how many for Maloki......and this isn't counting any Tokyopop manga that I've been eyeing (Pet Shop of Horrors, Fake, Clamp School Detectives, Kindaichi Files, Megatokyo, Azumanga Daioh, Shaman King, Yu-Gi-Oh, One Piece....I could go on, but I won't).... Thank God I only do manga...cuz I'd go broke doing cels too. ^^;; Gomen ne, Inuki-pachuki (son).

Is it so wrong to want to dick w/ ppl? Like just seriously mess with their heads. I dunno, maybe its the 6 more weeks of winter, but I am looking forward to the coming warmness and wearing shorts. And halter tops. And people thought Aina dressed plainly. XD

Decided to visit and spend a bit o' time w/ the crew in Pun.... Been awhile since I checked up on Neo Black 9, but amazingly, the universe hasn't collasped (yet) due to Darek. It HAS collasped due to other factors, but let's not go there. Suffice it to say it was unerrinly TenTen's fault.

*dances* Got my camera stuff...so now I'm gonna be lurking about taking pics of anything and everything. Ironic that the class I managed to barely get as a foundation course is indirectly (or directly) related to a game I've been obsessing over. Fatal Frame this ain't...unless you try to snap a pic of my sister.... Hoo-boy, then things get UGLY.

Aro: You know, this camera thing's getting really freaky. I was taking pics at this place where I go for picnics...and WTH, I get all these spirits attacking me and these odd pictures that show different places.
Rya: That's because 1) you picnic in GRAVEYARDS.
