Today's review/observation du jour is--

Silent Hill 5

I'm positively stoked about this, what with Resident Evil 5 (OMG CHRIS YUM) on its merry way and mayhaps Fatal Frame 4 on the Wii (a match made in heaven, like peanut butter and bananas, or sex and ice cream or NiGHTS 2 and hi-res, next-gen graffics). What do i know so far about SH5? Absolutely nothing. Yay!

I don't know what that is, but I'm positively sure I'm in love with it.

Now that Origins has been fixed (Trevor lol), I'm glad to be seeing the SH series blazing ahead. There have been times when formulas have been messed with:

(no biases, honest. ^^ So what can we expect?


This is Alex Sheperd. He's 22. And he's military trained. To be sure, this messes a bit w/ the formula (in that all Sh protagonists have been civilians who don't know the first thing about guns), but note the pipe. I love the old mainstays. Apparently, Alex is following his brother into his own Silent Hell. Scars from his time in the war (as yet unstated as to which one, but it is possible to conclude it is a fictional one) will form his outer demons (as seen above). Combat will have something new in that is Alex wounds a monster, the wound will show (that follows, then, that we will see Alex also be wounded and show it).

Honestly, all these SH guys have things w/ nurses, perverts.

I'll prolly update w/ more info, but I hope I 've whetted you appetites so far. I think it's gonna be a blast.
